Privacy Policy

Bookings by Hugo provides pet care management software, client portal tools, facility communication tools, payment workflow support, scheduling, reporting, and related operational features for pet care facilities and their clients.

SMS and MMS privacy notice: SMS consent and mobile phone numbers are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Information we collect

We may collect account information, contact information, client and pet profile information, appointment and booking details, vaccine and care record information, invoice and payment status information, staff account information, device and login information, support requests, and communication records created through the platform.

SMS and MMS communication information

When a client provides a mobile phone number and consents to SMS or MMS communication, Bookings by Hugo and the participating pet care facility may use that number to send transactional and customer care messages. These messages may include appointment reminders, booking updates, vaccine reminders, invoice and payment notifications, pet service status updates, client support replies, report card notifications, photo messages, and similar facility-related communications.

Message frequency varies based on the client’s relationship with the facility and the services requested. Message and data rates may apply. Clients may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP and may request help by replying HELP.

How we use information

Information is used to operate the platform, manage facility and client accounts, provide booking and pet care workflows, send requested notifications, support invoices and payment workflows, respond to support requests, improve security, maintain records, and comply with applicable legal and operational requirements.

How information is shared

Information may be shared with the pet care facility connected to the client account, authorized facility staff, service providers that help us operate the platform, communication providers, payment-related providers, hosting and security providers, and other parties when required for legal, safety, compliance, fraud prevention, or platform operation purposes.

SMS consent and mobile phone numbers are not sold or shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data is used to provide the requested communication services and related platform functionality.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect platform information. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their account credentials and report unauthorized access promptly.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the platform, support facility records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and comply with legal or operational obligations. Facilities may have their own record retention requirements for client and pet care records.

Client choices

Clients may contact their pet care facility to update profile information, communication preferences, pet records, and mobile consent status. SMS recipients may reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages or HELP for assistance.
